IS LIL KIM JOINING G-UNIT

Lil Kim recently appeared on stage at Shorty Lo's recent performance stating that G-Unit was her family. Such statement has lead to beliefs that she has already or will join G-Unit imminently. Lil Kim, who sprung to prominence as the first lady of J.U.N.I.O.R Mafia (in the early 90s), has long since cemented her place as one of the best female rappers of all time. Many of you may remember "Magic Stick", the collabo between Queen B and the G-Unit general himself. It was a success and the pair have always remained open to future collaboration which have not taken place as of yet. Could a deal be on the table? This comes as 50cent conceders G-Units future with Interscope Records.

50, was recently interview at a radio station about the rumors, where he proceeded to talk about how he plans to work with Lil Kim in the future but was never able to give an indication as to whether she was signing to the label or not. Nevertheless, 50 is seen as a extreme strategist, so it would not be surprising if KIM is on the verge of signing although he has not clarified the rumours.

BEYONCE - 4: ALBUM REVIEW

June 24th, 2011 marks the long awaited release of Beyonce's 4th studio album titled "4". Beyonce's true fans remain anxious as to how good this album will be, but not to fear because Music Box Talk is making it happen again with her album review two days before its release. The Music Box Talk team has listen to the entire album from start to finish, three to four times and the conclusion is very simple. This album could arguably be her best solo effort to date. We was extremely impressed with her versatility on the 12 track offering, as we are able to encounter many genres. We encounter genres such as: a Rock vibe, R&B vibe, Soul vibe, House vibe, Old school vibe just to name a few. Yes we all know that Beyonce is a hell of a performer, but questions have been asked as to how long she can maintain these high standards; the simple fact of the matter is that she may have just raised the bar again with this offering that will be certified platinum. Songs to look out for are "Plus 1", "I Care", "Best Thing I Never Had", "Rather Die Young", "Love on Top" and obviously "Run The World (Girls)". I know, we have already named half the album.

We never mentioned it in the list of songs to watch out for, but the track "Party" ft Andre 3000 was definitely our best track on the album. You may remember that Beyonce linked up with Kanye West on her last album to great effect, the two have done so again on "Party" to desired effect. Do not be surprised if this becomes one of Beyonce's hit singles released on this album. To be frank, the production on the entire album was impressive and there is no excuse for Beyonce fans not to buy this album, you will not be disappointed

Make sure your order it online or get down to your local music store. Music Box Talk has spoken and the album receive a 4.75 out of 5 RATING!!

HAS BEYONCE CROSSED OVER TO THE DARK SIDE?

In recent times, Music Box Talk has refused to comment on the fact that artist are supposedly selling their souls to the devil, but each day it becomes harder to contain these thoughts. Beyonce's new music video "run the world (girls)" includes some images in there that many will class as irrelevant and clear evidence of her cross over to the dark side.

At first glance, we defended the singer citing that the possible image could be her way of portraying that Jesus was a woman and that it was a female who sacrificed herself to save the world from their sins. but you have to question why the lady is wearing black, making it extremely hard to except that as the image that she is trying to portray. Furthermore, the following clip portrays Beyonce with an army of girls that resemble non other than the roman army. A roman army that were clearly responsible for the death of Jesus. But on the other hand it could be her way of showing that woman are extremely powerful. Tthis may be a little far-fetched for some but, the resemblance is to coincidental to deny.

Regardless of which, the images make it hard to believe that this is just a form of artistic expression.

IT'S ALL OVER: AMY WINEHOUSE RETIRES TILL FURTHER NOTICE

Yesterday we brought you the story of Amy Winehouse's embarrassing performance in Belgrade and today we bring you news that the singers is retiring. After a disgraceful performance in Belgrade, Winehouse's management team can reveal that the rest of her tour dates have been cancelled as of immediate effect.

Sources close to the singer have stated that "it has been hard for Ray (Ray Cosbert, Amy's manager) to watch her get into trouble over the years. There's only so much he can do - but enough's enough. She's going away and this time it could be for years."

And there you have it, Ray Cosbert has been given no choice but to force Amy Winehouse into  retirement until she is deemed healthy enough to reignite her career. This comes as a welcoming course of events for us here at Music Box Talk as the singers health is more important than her singing career.

We hope she does eventually come out of retirement.

NEW VIDEO: BIGZ ft CHIPMUNK, SAS, GFRSH, SINCERE, SMILER - I JUST WANT THE PAPER (REMIX)

If you havn't heard it, you will now; "I just want the paper" is the latest track from UK rapper Bigz and he has brought a UK army with him to get up on this remix. We are loving our time in England, listening to tracks like this one. Each rapper goes hard on a head-spinning, mind-boggling track. I ain't even gonna lie, i'm bumping my head to this track while writing this because that what we do here at Music Box Talk. The remix includes vocals from the late biggie smalls himself, too hard!! Enough said, hear it for yourself

Candidate For Track Of The Year: CHRIS BROWN & BENNY BENASSI - Beautiful People

Music Box Talk earlier today posted a track called "i'm on one" and earmarked it as a possible candidate for song of the year. While two of the Music Box Talk crew sat in front of the TV set, the track "Beautiful People" by Chris Brown & Benny Benassi came on. It occurred to us that this song is nothing but pure genius. The infectious track is likely to have a greater effect on the world than all of us may think. "Everywhere... Beautiful people" typifies the hook of a song that possess the ability to unite  people of all races, color(colour) or creed. Something that is highlighted in the video, which is extremely effective in indicating the fact that the song is appealing to people of all genres, race and status. Also it is evident how such a song allows us all to express ourselves in anyway we want. There is no secret in the fact that Chris Brown's idol is Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson is famous for not only his talent, but his ability to bring people together with his music and Chris Brown is defiantly following in his footsteps. Music Box Talk thinks it is the right time to voice our opinion on the media's up and down relationship with Chris Brown. Real talk!! the R&B singer is extremely talented and is without a shadow of doubt making a difference in the world, therefore the negative energy that is being pushed in his direction by the media is ridiculous (GETTING OLD). Get of Chris Browns d%$# and let him do what he does best, make good music. To cap it of, we wanted to recognize the track "Beautiful People" as one of the songs of this year already.

Its only right that the Music Box Talk faithful witness what we have seen, check it out for yourself

AMY WINEHOUSE: SAD SIGHT FOR SORE EYES

There is no secret that Amy Winehouse is a troubled but a highly talented artist. It is fair to say that Winehouse has one of the best voices to be heard in the last decade, but her attempts to revive her career has gone from bad to worse. Winehouse was scheduled to perform in Belgrade, Serbia for 70 minutes (which she was able to do), but the manner in which she did so has lead people to dub her performance as her worst performance ever. Winehouse appeared on stage seemingly intoxicated, she stumbled around while singing and appearing to remove her shoes, throwing it at the crowd. Winehouse's management had ban the hotel and all local alcoholic providers from providing Amy Winehouse with alcohol, but it appears that she was still able to get her hands on  some sort of alcohol or drug that proved costly for her performance. Concert attendees have stated that Amy Winehouse was clearly incapable of performing and that she was unable to fully sing any of her songs during the 70 minute performance. Even more disappointing was the fact that tickets cost her fans £35, which was considered expensive being that the average wage in Serbia was £274 a month. The concert organizers are conducting a probe into how Winehouse was able to attain the substance that she consumed and are considering legal action against the hotel if they can prove that the hotel were the providers of the alcohol. The concert organizers were also worried that Winehouse would seek full payment for her performance. In actual fact, Amy Winehouse has refused payment for her dreadful performance, but it offers little conciliation for the fact that her reputation has been further damaged around the Globe. The Serbian defense minister,  Dragan Sutanovac has even branded the events as shameful and disappointing. It seems that Winehouse's management have taken initiative to cancel her next two performances in Istanbul and Athens, in order to let the jazz singer re-cooperate. Music Box Talk wonders whether she will be ready for her next scheduled performance in Spain on July 8th. We may not be experts in the field of rehabilitation, but from what we see, it maybe worth her cancelling her whole tour in order to fully recover because there is nothing more demoralizing than an artist with a great voice singing with a shot voice. It wouldn't be fair to the Music Box Talk faithful if we didn't paint a full picture of the performance in Belgrade, so her it is:

We love Amy Winehouse here at Music Box Talk and wish her a speedy recovery

Candidate For Track Of The Year- DJ Khaled ft Drake, Lil Wayne & Rick Ross

Music Box Talk understands the fact that we are only half way through the year, but Music Box Talk think it's fair to say that we know a good track when we hear one. The team are already earmarking the YMCMB & MMG collaboration as possibly the "The Track Of the Year". Drake, Weezy & Rozay throw down on a DJ Khaled track, that is by far one of the best tracks released thus far this year. Drake is back from his short hiatus with that fire, while Weezy & Rozay continue to indicate why they are regarded as some of the best rappers out there right now.

NEW VIDEO: Tribal Magz Ft Gracious K & Ramzee

Yes guys, Music Box Talk is here once again to document one of the latest jams to hit the air wave. Although America is not to aware of this style of music, the English artist seem to be lyrically capable and they are having a hell of a time in the music video. Sources close to Music Box Talk have informed us of how the artist (Tribal Magz & Gracious K) burst on to the scene with club bangers such as "Migraine Skank" & "Tribal Skank". 21 Dares is a very infectious track, where you can not help but move your head to the beat, we can't see no reason why this type of track can not be a hit in clubs of America. Nevertheless, 21 Dares is expected to have a great impact on the UK scene and we are happy to publish the talents of Tribal Magz, Gracious K & Ramzee

Junayd ft Anna - Try

Music Box Talk decided to post this video because we felt the story that Junayd was telling. The song also has a good hook. Music Box Talk is loving our time in London...Keep the songs rolling in guys, our time here is limited

ONE TO WATCH: De Rouche - Charlene Cover

It is when we at Music Box Talk witness Music like we do on a daily basis, that our viewers can start to understand why the team is extremely passionate about what we do. Such as the power of YouTube, Music Box Talk were able to listen to a cover of Anthony Hamilton's - "Charlene", arguably the R&B singers best song. The simple fact of the matter is that Anthony Hamilton displayed some vocals that were out of this world, hence the reason why we were skeptical to listen. But at the end of the day, our job is to embrace current Music around the globe and we were not disappointed as De Rouche sang a rendition of "Charlene" that lead us to see great potential in the artist. One of the Music Box Talk Team went as far as to say that his style reminds them of "Latif". It took great confidence an poise to do a rendition of a track that has been well documented for it's success, but we at Music Box Talk believe that De Rouche rendition was inspiring and thought provoking. GREAT JOB!!!

We also thought it was important that everyone is exposed to the talent of De Rouche so here it is

Mixtape Review: Terra- The Love Box

After receiving a mixtape from Terra himself, Music Box Talk were able to catch a glimpse of an up and coming UK rapper. "The Love Box" features remakes of songs such as: "Suffocate", "Think About Me", " Your Love" to name a few. Terra seems to have a swaggering confidence about himself which is very effective and evident through the mixtape, the lyrical content was also quit impressive at times. All though we know little about the London based Rapper, it is clear that the Young Money faithful have a great influence on his music. Music Box Talk Team agreed that the best tracks on the mixtape were the ones where he brought the lyrical content and originality in style, rather than the use of styles famously used by young money members. After listening to the mix tape twice, Music Box Talk can truly say that there is a lot of potential in Terra. "The Love Box" is based on the different events in the love life of a young man, which will resonate well with a lot of people, our advise to you all is to listen to the Mixtape!! Good Music!!
Music Box Talk was impressed with the Mixtape, but advise Terra to continue to exercise his talents with consistency. Terra, you have now set the bar high for part 2, so the Music Box Talk Team wishes you the best of luck with that and salutes you as one for the future.

ALBUM REVIEW: Jagged Edge- Remedy

Jagged Edge are back with their 7th studio album, titled "Remedy". The Atlanta R&B groups album is scheduled for release on June 21st, 2011. After a four year hiatus, the group have complied an album filled with numerous love songs. Notable songs are: "Baby", "Flow Through My Veins", "Lipstick" & "I need a women". To be honest, the Music Box Talk team can agree that the album is missing 2 to 3 songs with great story lines coupled with great production. The vocals and story lines are very cliche in the 12 track compilation. Nevertheless it is a steady 7th album for Jagged Edge, but we don't see it being a contender for R&B Album of the year.

Music Box Talk give "Remedy" a 3 STAR RATING out of 5.

New Album: Wiley - 100% Publishing

Wiley's widely anticipated album is almost here. 100% Publishing will be released on the 20th of June, but a recent leak over the net has lead to the early availability of the album on numerous cites. Despite the issue, the general reception so far is that this album can put the UK rapper back on the map where he received much success as an early pioneer of the UK urban scene. Music Box Talk will have 100% Publishing album rating shortly. Watch Out For the Album!!!

Hustle Hard Remix- Chipmunk & Young Jeezy

As we already know, the original remix to Ace Hood "Hustle Hard" features Rozay and Weezy. The remix has been well received to date, but Music Box Talk takes a different perspective on the track, takin a look at two artist who have made their own rendition of the track. Jeezy was up to his normal representation of the hood with his blued out video. Flow is raw as usual:

Music Box Talk also takes a look at the impressive rendition from UK rapper Chipmunk. "Hustle Bars" is the hook on this one, but with "Bars like that, it is only a matter of time before the London native becomes a household name in America

What's New: Bianca Gerald- YouTube session pt. 1 liqourice Allsorts

Music Box Talk was fortunate to stumble across something inspiring. Bianca Gerald's, a UK artist has enlightened us with her acoustic sounds as she performs "Liqourice Allsorts". To be honest, the session comes as a relief to Music Box Talk as we are able to appreciate raw talent at it's best. I would advise everyone to take a look at this YouTube session so that you have an idea of what music in this day and age is missing. Bianca!! NEW VIDEO: Rick Ross & Meek Mill - Tupac Back Mil

Music Box Talk can reveal that Maybach Music Group will today release the latest music video from the groups "Self Made" album. "Tupac Back" will be the latest video to hit the air wave on a historic day such as the Birthday of the Hip Hop legend. Today marks the 40th Birthday of the late West Coast Rapper (Tupac) and it seems that MMG have purposely delayed the release until this date.
Music Box Talk believes it is a great tribute to one of the rappers that pave the way for this generation. It also is a great representation of how MMG are currently taking the music game by storm.
Music Box Talk Salutes U MMG!!

Album Rating: Keke Wyatt - Unbelievable

Music Box Talk is back at it again, brining you the latest in Music Entertainment. Music Box Talk takes a look at the latest Album from R&B singer Keke Wyatt. The gifted artist from Indiana is back with her 3rd Studio album titled "Unbelievable". The album, which features the likes of Kelly Price, Tweet & Ruben Studdard offers the usual vocals and love stories that her fans have become so acustom to. The album does not really offer any spectacular tracks that have been present in her previous albums such as: "So Confused" and "My First Love". "Unbelievable" is rather a steady depiction of her abilities. Music Box Talk wouldn't say that she has under performed because her vocals are very trust worthy, but it is evident that the album does not represent a step forward from her last album. Songs to look out for is: "Saturday Love", "Light Me Up" & "Unbelievable". There is no questions that Keke Wyatt's fans can eventually warm to the album, although her last album "Who Knew" did set the bar pretty high.
Music Box Talk gives Keke Wyatt - Unbelievable 3 STAR RATING.
